Teachers with Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

Education and Experience Preferred

We are looking for a passionate and creative Lower Grade Teacher, who has a desire to work with our wonderful students, faculty and staff.
We are seeking a teacher for one of our lower grade classrooms with experience and interest in teaching grades 1-4 with developmentally appropriate curriculum, the creative arts and Waldorf philosophy and pedagogy. The ideal candidates will have a deep love of working with and guiding children. They will be organized and flexible and possess strong communication, collaboration and classroom management skills. Duties include lesson planning integrating both the state standards and Waldorf Education, delivering creative and engaging learning activities, student assessment and reporting, meeting with parents, attending faculty meetings and professional development trainings and participating in festivals and other school functions.
Selected candidates will be required to conduct a ‘main lesson’ instruction as part of their candidacy, this will take place during our morning instruction period.
This position is a full-time start in fall but a light start will commence at the beginning of contract period June 1st and may include specific Waldorf Training at an out of state location. Training/professional development plan will be customized with selected candidate.
