Mountain Oak School to Celebrate May Day with “Reverse Parade”
Mountain Oak School (MOS) will celebrate May Day with a “Reverse Parade” on May 1 from 3:00-3:30pm at the school, 1455 Willow Creek Road in Prescott. Mountain Oak School celebrates May Day each year with students festively dressed, singing and dancing around a maypole. “This year, we wanted to continue our May Day tradition despite the limitations of social distancing,” said Susan Beck, MOS Director.
In the Reverse Parade, teachers, faculty and staff will dress up for May Day with fresh flower crowns, holding posters and standing (at least six feet apart) along the route. Families will drive through the pick-up/dismissal line and wave to their teachers.
“This is a way we can show our students and families how much they mean to us and how much we miss them,” said Beck. Press Release
